Subproject Manager (f/m/d) (Projektleiter/in / Projektmanager/in)

Your Tasks

• Subproject management of work packages in the areas of sensor development, sensor breadboard, and technology development
• Subproject management for an optical instrument in Phase B1/B2/C
• Planning, management, and execution of all aspects related to these work packages
• Acquisition of external funding to support the co-financing of the activity
• Overall coordination between development, procurement, product assurance, and AIT for the optical instrument
• Preparation, maintenance, and communication of the necessary schedules to track progress, as well as proactive management to ensure an efficient development cycle
• Internal and external stakeholder management
• Technical guidance for team members
• Preparation of necessary trade-offs and associated actions
• Regular reporting to project management on the status and progress of the development and technology activities

Your Qualifications

• Degree in Aerospace Engineering or a comparable qualification
• Proven track record in connection with a space product
• Deep knowledge of space instrument programmes
• Experience in building industrial consortia
• Sound understanding of the specific constraints and challenges of Earth observation missions
• Very good understanding of the relationship between schedule, budget, and quality in space projects, with the ability to balance these dimensions and set priorities
• Experience in the technical leadership of project teams, particularly in development
• Strong customer orientation, results orientation, and cost awareness
• Confident and convincing manner, strategic thinking, and entrepreneurial mindset
• Highly proactive, structured, and self-organized way of working
• Team player with a high level of cooperation and strong conflict-resolution skills
• Very good communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Willingness to travel regularly
