JOB SUMMARY
The Operations Pharmacist is a hands-on operational leader responsible for the daily performance, people and continuous improvement of Pharmacy Operations.
Working closely with the Pharmacy Operations Manager, you will have the autonomy to lead the pharmacy floor, make operational decisions and drive meaningful changes across workflow, manpower, medication safety, inventory, quality and productivity.
This is an opportunity for a pharmacist who wants to go beyond traditional pharmacy practice and lead, innovate and transform how pharmacy operates.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Daily Operations & People Leadership
· Lead daily pharmacy operations to ensure safe, accurate and timely medication preparation and distribution.
· Direct and deploy Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacy Assistants and locum staff.
· Manage workflow, manpower allocation, workload priorities and operational resources.
· Coach staff, provide feedback and support training and competency development.
· Monitor performance and address operational issues promptly.
2. Process Improvement & Transformation
· Lead initiatives to improve productivity, quality, medication safety, turnaround time and cost efficiency.
· Identify bottlenecks using data, observation and staff feedback.
· Redesign workflows, SOPs, work instructions and operational processes.
· Implement technology, automation, dashboards and other improvement solutions.
· Measure outcomes and ensure improvements are sustainable.
3. Quality, Safety & Compliance
· Ensure compliance with medication safety, regulatory and quality requirements.
· Support audits, incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date operational documentation.
4. Inventory & Service Management
· Oversee inventory availability, accuracy, stock takes and resource utilisation.
· Reduce wastage, overstocking, stock-outs and operational inefficiencies.
· Lead the resolution of customer complaints and service issues.
· Identify opportunities to improve the patient/customer experience.
5. Ad Hoc & Cross-Functional Support
· Undertake ad hoc duties and special assignments as directed by management.
· Provide cross-functional support to other teams and departments as required.
· Assist with urgent operational requirements, projects, and initiatives to support business objectives.
· Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or equivalent qualification recognised by the Singapore Pharmacy Council.
2. Full registration with the Singapore Pharmacy Council and in active practice.
3. Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
4. Strong team player with the ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned operational and project responsibilities.

1. Usual Working Hours: Mon - Fri 8.30am to 6pm; Alt Sat 8.30am to 12.30pm
2. Location: 4 Pandan Ave (nearest MRT: Clementi/Jurong East)
