Sous Chef - Local / Chinese Cuisine

Job Description & Requirements

Essential Functions:

Plan, direct, and supervise local/chinese food preparation and cooking activities.

Determine production schedules and staff requirements necessary to ensure timely delivery of catering services.

Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to staff.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Ensure efficient operations and adherence to SOPs - SFA, Halal and Work Safety.

Oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of the kitchen and kitchen equipment.

Mentor, train and encourage staff by providing continuous performance feedback and identifying a talent pipeline.

Job Requirements:

Five years experience or more in local/chinese cooking and managing a culinary team in a catering operation.

Equipped with excellent sense of taste and creativity in food presentation.

Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.

Required to work on weekend and public holidays.

Required to start work early in the morning.

Staying East Preferred (Bedok).
