Cook

Roles & Responsibilities

•⁠ ⁠Prepare and cook dishes according to the restaurant’s recipes and standards.

•⁠ ⁠Ensure consistent food quality, taste, presentation, and portioning.

•⁠ ⁠Carry out daily food preparation and mise en place before service.

•⁠ ⁠Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and workstations.

•⁠ ⁠Follow food safety, hygiene, and proper food storage procedures.

•⁠ ⁠Check ingredients and ensure proper FIFO and stock rotation.

•⁠ ⁠Minimise food wastage and report low stock or quality issues.

•⁠ ⁠Assist with receiving and storing kitchen supplies.

•⁠ ⁠Clean kitchen equipment and utensils after use.

•⁠ ⁠Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service.

•⁠ ⁠Perform opening and closing duties as assigned.

•⁠ ⁠Carry out other kitchen duties assigned by the Head Chef or management.

Requirements

•⁠ ⁠Previous kitchen/cooking experience is preferred.

•⁠ ⁠Basic knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene.

•⁠ ⁠Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

•⁠ ⁠Good teamwork and positive working attitude.

•⁠ ⁠Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

•⁠ ⁠Experience in Asian, local or Peranakan cuisine is an advantage.
