Job Summary

Design, develop, and maintain electrical systems and equipment for industrial, commercial, and domestic applications. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with standards and customer requirements while leading project teams and managing resources effectively.

Responsibilities

Design, maintain, and improve electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment, or systems for industrial, commercial, or domestic use

Operate computer-assisted design and engineering software to perform detailed engineering tasks and calculations

Collaborate with customers, engineers, and stakeholders to discuss and refine engineering products or projects

Prepare electrical system specifications, technical drawings, and topographical maps to ensure installations meet standards and customer requirements

Establish construction, manufacturing, or installation standards by performing detailed engineering calculations

Direct and coordinate installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and safety standards

Write detailed reports and compile data on existing and potential electrical engineering projects and studies

Prepare specifications for purchasing electrical equipment and materials to meet project needs

Supervise and train project team members to enhance team performance and project delivery

Estimate material, labor, and construction costs to support accurate budget preparation

Maintain electrical equipment to ensure operational reliability and safety

Collaborate effectively with various technicians to support project execution and problem resolution

Required competencies and certifications

Proven expertise as an electrical engineer with a minimum of 7 years’ experience

Hands-on experience using electrical design and calculation software

Deep knowledge of electrical manufacturing processes

Understanding of electrical engineering codes and safety standards

Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering

Preferred competencies and qualifications

Strong problem-solving skills applied to electrical engineering challenges

High attention to detail in engineering design and documentation

Strong organizational and communication skills to manage projects and stakeholder interactions
