Job Description

Industry/ Organization Type: Construction / Structural Steel Engineering

Position Title: Quantity Surveyor

Working Location: Tuas

Working Hours: 5 days (Mon-Fri: 8:30am - 5:30pm)

Salary Package: Basic salary up to $4,500 + Variable Bonus

Duration: Permanent Role

Key Responsibilities

Prepare cost estimates, quotations, and tender submissions.

Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications.

Carry out quantity take-offs and cost analysis.

Prepare and assess quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.

Prepare progress claims, payment responses, and final accounts.

Manage variation orders, contract administration, and project cost control.

Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams on contractual and commercial matters.

Monitor project budgets, costs, and cash flow.

Maintain accurate project documents and commercial records.

Support the procurement of materials and subcontractors when required.

Perform other quantity surveying and commercial duties assigned by management.

Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience in structural steel, steel fabrication, or the construction industry will be an advantage.

Familiar with construction contracts, quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and progress claims.

Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and AutoCAD will be an advantage.

Able to read and understand engineering and construction drawings.
