The Job
CapitaLand Investment (CLI – SGX:9CI) is seeking an experienced and commercially focused HR leader to lead the people agenda for its regional self-storage platform, one of the CLI-owned subsidiary which is experience exponential growth. As Head of HR, this role partners closely with the COO and operating leadership, develops a deep understanding of store operations and commercial drivers, and leads the people agenda to support growth, productivity and service excellence. The role balances strategic leadership with hands-on execution, including leading the HR team, building operational capabilities, managing workforce costs and rewards, strengthening employee engagement, and ensuring effective HR governance and compliance.
Location: Singapore. Occasional requirement to travel across other self-storage sites locally
Reporting: Chief Operating Officer
Regional remit across Singapore, Malaysia and Korea
Responsibilities
Strategic HR partnership: Develop a strong understanding of the self-storage business and advise the COO and leadership team on organisation design, workforce planning, talent, employee relations and people risk.
HR operations, governance and team leadership: Lead a small HR team to oversee employee lifecycle processes, payroll coordination, mobility, systems, policies, workforce analytics and employee training and development.
Organisation and talent: Lead regional hiring, performance management, talent reviews, succession planning to support growth and expansion.
Culture and employee experience: Strengthen engagement, leadership effectiveness and a high-performance, inclusive culture across the platform.
Total Rewards and workforce costs: Lead compensation planning, incentives design and roll out, salary benchmarking, retention strategies and workforce cost decisions, applying strong commercial judgement and market insights.
Regional compliance and transformation: Ensure compliance with local employment requirements and support organisational change, integration and scalable people practices.
Employee experience and workplace engagement: Enhance the employee experience by guiding the Administration Executive in maintaining a welcoming and well-run headquarters, including pantry supplies, office amenities and workplace engagement initiatives.
Requirements
Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline, with at least 10 years of HR operations and management experience in operation business.
Appreciation of strong working relation between parent company and subsidiary is added advantage
Strong HR business partnering or leadership experience across multiple Asian markets.
Experience in an operationally intensive, multi-site environment such as self-storage, logistics, retail, hospitality, property operations or facilities management.
Proven ability to influence senior leaders and translate business priorities into practical people solutions.
Commercially astute, hands-on and comfortable operating independently in a lean, fast-growing environment.
Strong knowledge of regional employment practices, workforce analytics, compensation & benefits strategy/benchmarking and HR technology, including AI-enabled tools.
