Head of Finance

The Role

Our client, a leading construction and engineering company, is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to lead and oversee the organization’s finance function.

Responsibilities

Manage overall accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow.

Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports.

Monitor budgets, costs, margins, profitability and business performance.

Oversee AP, AR, GL, reconciliations and month-end/year-end closing.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, GST, tax and statutory requirements.

Manage relationships with auditors, tax agents, banks and external advisers.

Strengthen financial controls, processes and reporting systems.

Provide financial analysis and insights to support management decisions.

Lead, mentor and develop the finance team.

Support ad-hoc finance projects and business initiatives as required.

Requirements

Degree/professional qualification in Accounting, Finance or related field.

Relevant experience in financial management or controllership.

Strong knowledge of reporting, cash flow, budgeting and Singapore statutory compliance.

Experience managing a small finance team.

ERP experience; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is an advantage.

Project management experience in construction and engineering sector is preferred.

Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
