We are seeking a motivated Research Assistant or Research Associate to join the Parallel Systems Lab ( ) at NTU’s CCDS. The role focuses on designing, developing, and evaluating efficient, scalable systems for modern multi-agent HPC-AI workflows. Responsibilities include workload analysis, system prototyping, benchmarking, and experimental validation on local and national supercomputing platforms. The RA will collaborate with faculty and domain scientists to address real-world application needs and contribute to cutting-edge research at the intersection of AI and HPC. This position offers hands-on experience with advanced HPC technologies and large-scale computing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and characterize emerging multi-agent AI and HPC workloads to identify performance, scalability, and system-level challenges.
Design, implement, and prototype efficient systems and infrastructure for large-scale AI/HPC workflows.
Conduct benchmarking and experimental evaluation on local and national supercomputing platforms, analyzing performance and scalability.
Contribute to research papers, technical reports, and presentations for internal reviews and external conferences or journals.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
Good knowledge of agentic AI/AI workflows, parallel computing, algorithms, and system performance analysis and optimization.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and Python.
Demonstrated ability to conduct research, solve complex technical problems, and develop innovative solutions.
Experience with parallel systems, machine learning/AI, or performance benchmarking is highly desirable.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary research teams.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, teamwork, and written and verbal communication skills.
Proactive, self-motivated, and willing to learn new technologies and research areas.
