Legal Associate (1-4 Years Experience)

Joseph Lopez LLP is inviting applications for the position of Legal Associate. We are a boutique dispute resolution practice with a strong track record in High Court litigation and especially in cross-border international arbitration, particularly in matters involving maritime and shipping, commodities and cross-border international trade sector as well as in the corporate disputes sector.

We are looking for motivated legal associates with 1-4 years of experience to join our growing team. At Joseph Lopez LLP, you will work alongside a close-knit group of dedicated practitioners on a wide spectrum of complex commercial and cross-border disputes. Key Responsibilities:

Provide legal research, analysis, and writing on a variety of matters, including corporate, commercial, and litigation.

Draft and review legal documents, such as legal opinions, briefs, submissions, contracts, agreements, pleadings, and memoranda.

Assist in managing cases, preparing for trials, hearings, and negotiations.

Advise clients on legal matters and provide support throughout ongoing legal processes.

Collaborate with senior associates on case strategy and legal matters.

Represent clients in court hearings or other legal proceedings as needed (depending on practice area).

Keep abreast of developments in the law and industry regulations.

Qualifications

1-4 years of experience in a law firm or legal department (corporate or litigation with arbitration experience preferred).

A good law degree from an accredited law school.

Strong academic credentials.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Exceptional research and analytical abilities.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Strong relationship-building skills and ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with the team.

Well-rounded individual, outgoing personality, with a passion for advocacy.
