Job Summary

Responsible for the leadership, management, security, governance and continuous improvement of the organisation's IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, end-user computing environment and digital workplace services. The role oversees daily operations, drives technology transformation initiatives, manages vendors and risks, ensures compliance with security and audit requirements, and works closely with business units to deliver reliable, secure and innovative technology solutions that support organisational objectives.

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, and end-user computing environments to ensure high availability, performance, security, and reliability of IT services

Administer Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Teams, telephony systems, network infrastructure, firewalls, load balancers, switches, and routers to support operational needs

Troubleshoot infrastructure, connectivity, cloud, and application issues and coordinate timely resolutions to minimize service disruptions

Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend new capabilities, enhancements, and technology refresh initiatives aligned with business goals

Drive adoption of cloud technologies, automation, artificial intelligence, and digital productivity solutions to enhance operational efficiency

Monitor technology trends to maintain current, secure, and business-aligned platforms

Collaborate with business units to gather operational and business requirements for technology solutions

Engage stakeholders to develop and implement technology solutions that improve productivity and user experience

Work closely with cybersecurity, governance, and compliance teams to ensure secure implementation of IT solutions

Ensure infrastructure and cloud services comply with corporate governance, cybersecurity, and audit requirements

Coordinate audit reviews, respond to audit findings, and implement remediation actions to maintain compliance

Perform risk assessments and track remediation actions to mitigate IT risks

Manage third-party vendors, service providers, and contracts to ensure service quality and contractual compliance

Oversee certification and compliance requirements, including ISO and BizSafe certifications

Lead technology and digital transformation projects from inception through implementation, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource needs

Manage project risks, budgets, vendor deliverables, and stakeholder expectations to ensure successful project outcomes

Lead and develop internal IT staff and outsourced service providers by establishing service standards, operational procedures, and performance metrics

Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to foster team growth and accountability

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and service excellence within the IT team

Drive operational excellence and user satisfaction across IT services by managing incidents, escalations, service level agreements, and problem management activities

Develop and maintain IT policies, standards, and procedures to support governance and service management

Contribute to departmental planning, technology roadmaps, and strategic initiatives to align IT capabilities with organisational goals

Required competencies and certifications

Tertiary education in Computer Science or related fields with at least 10 years of IT experience, including 3 years of end-user engagement and 2 years in team management

Knowledge and experience in Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Intune, Azure Cloud Services, AWS Cloud Services, Active Directory, Microsoft Power Platform, Power Automate, and Microsoft Copilot technologies

Expertise in IT governance, risk management, vendor and contract management, project management methodologies, cybersecurity, and compliance frameworks

Proficiency in enterprise infrastructure management, network administration, cloud infrastructure, endpoint management, collaboration platforms, enterprise productivity solutions, enterprise security solutions, and data protection and backup technologies

Advanced administration and troubleshooting skills for Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications

Ability to diagnose and coordinate resolution of hardware and infrastructure issues involving desktops, laptops, peripherals, network devices, and endpoint technologies

Experience planning, coordinating, and managing testing and commissioning activities for infrastructure, cloud, and end-user technology solutions, validating functionality, security, and operational readiness before deployment

Preferred competencies and qualifications

Relevant industry certifications such as PMP, Microsoft, Cybersecurity, Network, or Azure Administrator certifications

Experience leading and directing quality management systems for audit and implementation
