Senior Engineer, Package and Steel Outfit

Job Summary

Independently develop hull outfitting detail design to comply with Class and Technical specification requirements within assigned schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for delivering the respective project design drawing and document according to project plan schedule. Shall take on project lead role.

Review external designer’s pre-contract technical specifications, general arrangement and drawing lists. Ensure all information required for detail design development is available.

Liaise with Owner and Classification Society for the specific design requirement compliance, review, and approval.

Create the hull outfitting equipment sourcing technical specifications for cranes, deck machinery, outfitting, etc.

Conduct a technical assessment of the offer made by the seller.

Liaise with suppliers and contractors for interpretation of the drawings and specifications.

Prepare arrangement &detail outfitting drawings.

Develop and update weight report (weight and center of gravity).

Coordinates with detail designer / production designer and checks their processes and output.

Communicate with the person in charge of production on trouble shooting and visiting on-site if needed.

Safety and architectural outfitting coverage is an advantage

Required Education & Qualifications

Degree in relevant discipline

Familiar with AutoCAD/ Microsoft Office/ AVEVA/ Cadmatic or similar

Good communication and analytical skills
