Head of Project Finance

This role is responsible for leading a team of Project Finance Specialists in providing advisory & executing cross-border Project Finance (Infrastructure & Energy) opportunities across the Asia Pacific region.

Main clients are Global FIs & Project Sponsors (i.e. subsidiaries of Korean corporates & foreign corporates in Asia Pacific region).

Job Responsibilities

O The role is a full range of services in Project Finance including financial advisory, arrangement services & agency work.

O Source Project Finance deals in the Project Finance market using his/her knowledge & network.

O Work on the review report in Korean to analyze the risk of project & walk the Head Office through the project in Korean.

O Negotiate with sponsors, perform due diligence & address queries from the Head Office.

O Support the Head Office & address raised issues by the Credit Officer to get approval.

O Provide financial advisory services for Korean &/or International Corporates in the Project Finance Market.

O Build up financial model from scratch & run sensitivities for sponsors.

O Arrange a variety of funding sources including bank loans, equity or hybrid securities & etc.

O Periodically report the progress of the above-mentioned work to the Head Office and put together ad-hoc reports required by the Head Office in Korean.

O Support communication of non-Korean speaking staff with the Head Office.

Job Requirements

o Bachelor’s degree in any field.

o Minimum 13 years’ experience in the Banking industry as well as in Project Finance.

o Rich experience dealing with Infrastructures (road, rail, port etc), Energy, Oil/Gas & Plant sectors as a financial advisor &/or financial arranger.

o Good relationship & network with the Korean & international sponsors.

o Ability to source Project Finance deals in the Open Project Finance Market.

o Prior leadership experience in managing a team of Project Finance Specialists.

o Expert in financial modeling using MS Excel spreadsheet.

o Business level proficiency in written & verbal English & Korean is required to communicate with Korean Corporate Clients, Head Office, Singapore Branch & Overseas Branches. This includes reviewing, presenting, & attending to queries on financial advisory work, credit loan applications & Head Office's questionnaire & info request.
