Contract Period: From 16 Oct 2026 to31 Dec 2027 with an option to extend the Contract for a further period of one year.
Working hours:
- Mondays to Thursdays: 7.30am to 5.00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
- Fridays: 7:30amto 4:30pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
Scope of services:
1. To manage the Tree House / Student Services Hub during stipulated hours ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for students.
2. To connect with identified students by the Student Development Team on a regular basis over a prolonged duration, build positive relationships and contribute to the holistic development of the students.
3. To provide socio-emotional support during curriculum hours if students are unable to integrate back to class or catch up due to absences or suspension.
4. To plan and conduct intervention programmes customised to students’ needs and aligned to the school’s efforts in character development after school, which include but not limited to:
i. Academic support programme
ii. Mentoring programme
iii. Engagement programme
5. To observe/identify and document the key needs of the students and to report such cases to the Student Development Team officers overseeing programme and School Leaders for further intervention and support
6. To provide feedback on students’ needs, programme experience and concerns, so that the school can better support the students.
7. To conduct review of the engagement programme at the end of each term and recommend improvements for future implementation.
8. To conduct themselves professionally in their interactions with the students and school personnel, and work Student Development Team in supporting the students.
9. To practice the areas of responsibilities and behaviour during all his or her school engagements.
10. Any other duties assigned by the Authority.
Qualifications, skills and experience:
1. A Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Child Development, Youth Work, or related disciplines.
2. A registered Social Worker or a registered Social Work Practitioner with the Singapore Association of Social Workers (SASW).
3.Preferably be a Certified Practitioner in Restorative Practice / Building Relational Capacity, accredited under the Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications framework or by a recognized international training provider.
4. At least two (2) years of relevant experience in:
a. Social service sector, social service agency(s) which provide guidance on social work supervision in schools and social work programmes OR
b. Working with students with additional needs or be enrolled in, or having completed, a social work programme that includes practical experience in a school setting OR
c. Social work with children and youth in community settings.
5. Meticulous, responsible and able to work independently
6. Medically fit and healthy
