We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced  Teachers of French  to join us on a part time / relief role. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching French across the Primary and/or Senior levels, fostering students’ language proficiency, cultural awareness, and confidence in communication.

This role requires a genuine passion for the French language, strong classroom management skills, and the ability to deliver creative and engaging lessons within a diverse, multicultural learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement effective French language curriculum and lesson plans aligned with the Cambridge International Framework and Perse curriculum.

Deliver engaging and interactive French lessons to students of varying ages and proficiency levels.

Develop students’ language proficiency across listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

Promote cultural awareness by integrating French history, customs, and traditions into learning.

Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.

Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.

Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and school leaders on student development.

Participate actively in extracurricular and cultural activities related to the French language.

Stay updated on new teaching methodologies and educational technologies.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree  in Education, French, or a related field, with a recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, PGDE, PGCEi, NIE Diploma, or equivalent).

At least  2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international school setting.

Proficiency in  French (native or near-native level)  and excellent command of English.

Strong understanding of the  Cambridge curriculum  for primary and/or secondary programmes.

Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs, including EAL learners.

Demonstrated classroom management, instructional planning, and communication skills.

Ability to contribute to school life beyond the classroom, including trips, clubs, and cultural events.
