Job Description

Industry/ Organization Type: Wholesale (Building materials)

Position Title: Quantity Surveyor

Working Location: Tuas

Working Hours: 5.5 days (Mon-Fri: 9.00am - 6.00pm, Sat: 9.00am - 1.00pm)

Salary Package: Basic salary up to $4,500 + Variable Bonus

Duration: Permanent Role

Key Responsibilities

Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and quantity take-offs.

Source quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

Prepare tender submissions, cost comparisons, and pricing proposals.

Monitor project costs and expenses.

Review claims, invoices, and payment applications.

Coordinate with sales, procurement, logistics, and project teams.

Prepare variation orders, progress claims, and final accounts.

Maintain contracts, quotations, purchase orders, and project records.

Liaise with customers, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.

Prepare cost reports for management review.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, tendering, or contract administration.

Experience in construction, building materials, engineering, or related industry is advantageous.

Able to read drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

Familiar with tendering, costing, and procurement processes.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
