FINANCE MANAGER
Job Summary
The Finance Manager will take ownership of the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions for the Singapore operations. This is a hands on role responsible for establishing strong finance processes and controls, ensuring accurate reporting and statutory compliance, managing cash flow and providing financial insights to support Management's business decisions.
The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a growing SME/start-up environment and capable of building and improving finance processes, systems, policies and SOPs from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Manage full set of accounts, including AP, AR, GL, fixed assets, accruals, prepayments and bank reconciliations.
Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Prepare P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, AR/AP ageing, budgets, forecasts and management reports.
Manage cash flow, working capital, banking, payments and funding requirements.
Review, verify and approve employee expense claims, reimbursements and supporting documents in accordance with Company policies.
Review and process supplier, employee and other Company payments, including urgent payments when required, while ensuring proper supporting documents and approvals are obtained.
Use Corppass and relevant Singapore Government portals for authorised business, finance, tax and regulatory matters.
Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, cost control and budget-versus-actual analysis.
Provide Management with financial analysis, cost analysis and recommendations to support business decisions.
Establish and maintain finance policies, SOPs, approval limits, payment controls and proper segregation of duties.
Ensure proper supporting documents, financial records and audit trails are maintained.
Manage GST, corporate tax, IRAS requirements, statutory audit and other Singapore regulatory compliance.
Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks and other external professional parties.
Support project costing, operational costing, major purchases, financing and investment evaluations.
Work closely with Management, Taiwan Headquarters and other departments on financial and Group reporting requirements.
Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of accounting, ERP and InfoTech Claims systems, including workflows, controls and user adoption.
Use AI, automation and digital tools to improve financial reporting, analysis, forecasting, reconciliation and overall Finance productivity.
Identify opportunities to simplify processes, strengthen controls, reduce manual work and improve operational efficiency.
Perform other finance related duties and projects assigned by Management.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
Experience in a newly established, start-up or growing SME environment, including setting up finance processes, controls, policies and SOPs from the ground up.
Strong hands on experience in full set accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
Good knowledge of GST, taxation, audit, IRAS and Singapore statutory requirements.
Experience implementing or improving accounting, ERP or finance systems will be an advantage.
Able to effectively use AI and automation tools to improve Finance productivity and processes.
Strong analytical, problem solving and commercial decision making skills.
Team player with good communication and stakeholder management skills, able to work effectively across departments and with Management.
High level of integrity, accountability, confidentiality and attention to detail.
