The role is responsible for the overall management and operational performance of assigned clinic(s). This role provides leadership in resource management, service delivery, and operational efficiency to ensure high-quality, patient-centred care within a pleasant, safe, and well-organised environment, while supporting the hospital’s strategic and financial objectives.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(A) SPECIFIC
MANAGEMENT OF EFFICIENCY
1. Overall responsible in ensuring a smooth operation with focus on clinic profit & loss, deployment, availability of care, customer service and efficiency
2. Support coordination of ambulatory care across ancillary units e.g. Cardiovascular Centre, Diagnostic Radiology. Streamline work processes, maintain operational and service standards in clinics, working closely with Nurse Clinicians, Doctors and other departments
3. Ensure compliance with established operational policies, service standards, and regulatory requirements
4. Accountable for clinic key performance indicators (KPIs), operational metrics, and management reports aligned with hospital strategic goals
5. Ensure that clinic assets are in optimal working condition, through planned review cycles. Work closely with Biomedical Engineering (BME), Facilities Management(FM), and users to address maintenance and operational issues.
6. Manage patient feedback and frontline staff performance to ensure service excellence.
TEAMWORK, KAIZEN AND PRODUCTIVITY
7. Drive improvement of services with regular reviews with stakeholders
8. Collaborate with A&E, Inpatient, Peri-ops and support departments to ensure safe and seamless patient and information flows. Design initiatives and improve patient-centric work processes
FINANCIAL VIABILITY
9. Provide governance and oversight to ensure accurate and sustainable billing practices across clinic services.
10. Ensure charges are reviewed according to price changes and market adjustments
11. Facilitate review of budget-related matters with Service Operations
(B) GENERAL
1. Assist the Clinical and Operations HODs in the review, implementation and enforcement of Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Data Protection measures (PDPA)
2. Participate in risks review initiatives (Enterprise Risk Management, Hazard Identification,Patient Safety Walkabout) with stakeholders and execute measures to mitigate risks
3. Align departmental objectives, plans, and initiatives with the organisation’s strategic goals and priorities.
4. Plan, oversee, and support staff training, development, and performance improvement to build capability and sustain service quality.
5. Support all corporate activities, as well as motivate and encourage staff participation in community projects
6. Carry out any other duties assigned by Reporting Officer
JOB REQUIREMENTS
(A) EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
· Degree with 1–3 years of relevant experience, or Diploma with at least 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
· Preferably with knowledge of hospital or healthcare operations.
· Demonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience.
· Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
· Positive attitude with initiative and willingness to learn.
(B) SPECIALISED TRAINING
· Proficient in computer systems; knowledge of statistics and performance reporting preferred.
ABNORMAL PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITION
· Be able to respond to emergency recall depending on exigencies of services
