Assistant Engineer/Autocad Drafter

Our client, regional sales office of a leading MNC in the manufacturing industry, specialising in industrial electrical heat and control solutions, is looking for an Assistant Engineer – AutoCAD Drafter to join their engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for Diploma holders or junior candidates with 0–2 years of relevant experience who are looking to build their career in engineering drafting and industrial design.

1 Year Contract Renewable Assignment

Work Location: Woodlands

Work Hours: Mon to Fri: 9am to 6pm

Salary Range: $2500 – $3300

1 month Bonus upon completion + HP Claim + Medical Claims & Leave

Key responsibilities

Generate and modify 2D technical drawings using AutoCAD according to project and engineering requirements.

Read and interpret 2-dimensional Piping Isometric drawings.

Prepare accurate engineering and fabrication drawings based on specifications and project requirements.

Work closely with engineers and project teams to incorporate drawing revisions and technical changes.

Ensure drawings are accurate, complete and comply with required engineering standards.

Maintain proper documentation and revision control of technical drawings.

Support the engineering team with drafting and other related technical documentation.

Requirement

Locals

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Design, CAD Drafting or a related discipline.

0–2 years of relevant experience in AutoCAD drafting, engineering drafting or a similar role.

Proficient in AutoCAD, particularly for 2D drawing generation.

Able to read and understand 2D Piping Isometric drawings.

Candidates with internship/project experience involving AutoCAD drafting are welcome to apply.

Good attention to detail and accuracy in preparing technical drawings.

Able to work independently as well as collaborate with engineers and project teams.

Willingness to learn and develop within an industrial engineering/manufacturing environment
