Role: Solution Architect - Banking

BANKING INDUSTRY BACKGROUND IS MUST

Solution Architect with a strong background in the Banking and Financial Services sector, covering Core Banking, Application, Infrastructure, Cloud, Integration, and Security Architecture

The candidate should be capable of designing and governing end-to-end technology solutions across complex banking environments and working closely with business, application, infrastructure, security, operations, and vendor teams.

Key responsibilities include:

Design end-to-end enterprise solutions across  Core Banking, Applications, Infrastructure, Cloud, Network, Security, Integration, and Data.

Translate business and technical requirements into  Solution Architecture Documents, HLDs, integration designs, deployment models, and technical blueprints.

Architect scalable,  resilient, secure, and highly available solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.

Support Core Banking transformation and modernization initiatives,  including integration with payment systems, treasury, lending, deposits, digital banking, middleware, APIs, and external platforms.

Provide architecture guidance for  application modernization, infrastructure refresh, cloud migration, technology upgrades, and data centre transformation.

Define and review architecture requirements  covering HA/DR, performance, capacity, backup, monitoring, network, security, and operational readiness.

Lead technical reviews, architecture governance, risk assessments, vendor evaluations, and solution approvals.

Work closely with project teams through design, implementation, migration, testing, and production rollout.

Ensure solutions comply with  applicable banking security, regulatory, risk, and audit requirements.

Requirements

Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale, enterprise-grade solutions (on-premises and cloud).

Strong understanding of application architecture, integration patterns, and data modelling.

Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

Proficient in designing RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.

Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.

Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders.

Certifications

TOGAF, AWS/Azure/GCP Solution Architect, or other relevant certifications.

Nice to Have

Familiarity with Network and Security Architecture.

Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks and standards (e.g., MAS, PCI DSS, ISO 27001).

Exposure to data governance, data lake, or advanced analytics platforms.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).

Experience in the banking, finance, or highly regulated industries.

Knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) and ITIL processes.
