Job Summary
Serve as the Chemical System Lead Engineer, responsible for the overall technical and engineering management of Frontend FAB chemical systems, covering system planning, design, procurement, construction, cross-system interface coordination, testing, and commissioning. Ensure chemical supply capacity and quality, system safety and reliability, and project schedule compliance with semiconductor process requirements, EHS regulations, and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Chemical System Design
Lead the planning and design of Frontend FAB chemical systems, including supply capacity, storage, distribution, equipment, piping and layout.
Chemical Supply & Distribution
Develop chemical supply and distribution systems to meet semiconductor process requirements, including bulk and specialty chemicals.
Engineering Documentation
Prepare and review PFDs, P&IDs, layouts, data sheets, equipment specifications, calculations and related engineering documents.
Equipment & Piping
Review and select chemical tanks, pumps, valves, piping systems, delivery equipment and related components.
Multidisciplinary Interface Coordination
Coordinate Chemical system interfaces with Process, Gas, UPW, WWT, Drainage, Exhaust, Electrical, I&C, Facilities and Safety systems.
Vendor & Technical Coordination
Prepare technical specifications, conduct Technical Bid Evaluations, review Vendor Data and manage technical clarifications.
Construction & Site Support
Manage RFIs, design changes, equipment and piping installation, quality issues and technical problems during construction.
Testing & Commissioning
Lead or coordinate chemical system testing, flushing, leak testing, commissioning and performance verification.
Safety & Regulatory Compliance
Ensure chemical systems comply with applicable EHS requirements, chemical handling standards and Singapore regulatory requirements.
System Performance & Reliability
Ensure chemical supply capacity, pressure, flow, quality, reliability and redundancy meet FAB process and production requirements.
Requirements
Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Materials Engineering or a related discipline.
8+ years of relevant experience in chemical systems, semiconductor FAB, high-tech facilities or industrial utility projects.
Hands-on experience in chemical supply systems, piping, equipment installation, construction coordination and commissioning.
Experience with bulk chemicals, specialty chemicals or semiconductor chemical distribution systems is highly preferred.
Able to read and interpret PFDs, P&IDs, engineering drawings, layouts, isometrics and technical documents.
Familiar with chemical storage, transfer, distribution, piping, leak detection and related safety systems.
Experience in Vendor coordination, technical document review, RFI management and resolving site engineering issues.
Experience in system testing, flushing, leak testing and commissioning is preferred.
Good understanding of chemical handling, EHS requirements and Singapore regulatory requirements.
Able to work independently on site and coordinate effectively with Clients, contractors, Vendors and multidisciplinary project teams.
Good command of English; proficiency in Chinese is an advantage.
Willing to work in a site-based environment, including shifts or extended hours as required by the project.
Relevant qualifications and licences must comply with applicable Singapore laws, regulations and authority requirements.
