Mechanical & Electrical Engineer

Job Description

Develop and review technical documents such as design basis, load lists, cable schedules, and single-line diagrams

To involve in the planning and design of electrical engineering works for building services.

To prepare tender document, design and technical for MEP specifications for tenders, as well as supervise the installation and commissioning of MEP works.

To collaborate with peers of other disciplines in feasibility studies and design, as well as ensure excellent delivery of service to clients.

Ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the project quality plan, contract requirements including the drawings and specifications

Monitor and control works including those of subcontractors to ensure compliance with the specified requirements

Ensure material submission and approval, ordering and delivery are according to agreed schedules

Liaise and coordinate with M&E consultants, clients, subcontractors, authorities and to establish rolling programme

Coordinate meetings and daily briefings at site

Check all installation drawings and prepare relevant schedule

Perform testing and commissioning at work site

Prepare shop drawings for construction

Co-ordinate with the rest of the team right down to the foreman/subcontractor to ensure everyone is clear on the planning, scope, resource requirements

Ensure that the works are carried out on time in accordance with the programme and on budget.

Guide and support subordinates in carrying out the tasks as planned; Seek support from and report to superior if required

Assess subcontractor performance against plan and resolve issues collaboratively; Escalate major deviations/delays from plan to superior in a timely manner

· Job Requirement:

Degree in Electrical OR Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in M&E projects

Preferably with relevant experience in the construction industry

Good communications skills and able to work under minimum supervision
