Job Description

Industry/ Organization Type: Recycling/ Metal Recovery

Position Title: EHS Executive

Working Location: Tuas (Company transport provided)

Working Hours: 5 Days, Monday – Friday (8am – 5pm)

Salary Package: Basic Salary + Transport Allowance + AWS

Duration: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

Manages the overall plant safety management, including EHS training, Safe Work Procedure reviews, and incident investigations.

Provide guidance and mentorship to operational departments in implementing Functional EHS Management programmes.

Implement the EHS Management System and Risk Management (RM) plans across operational and non-operational areas.

Conduct daily workplace inspections and ensure identified safety hazards are promptly addressed and rectified.

Develop and distribute weekly EHS Toolbox Meeting topics and materials across the company.

Train, coordinate, and oversee the Company Emergency Response Team (ERT) in first aid, firefighting, evacuation, and emergency response procedures.

Plan and conduct EHS awareness campaigns, training programmes, and initiatives to promote a strong safety culture among employees.

Perform regular audits and inspections of EHS practices across various functions and recommend appropriate Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).

Identify and report any machinery, equipment, appliances, or work processes that may pose risks to employee health and safety.

Assess EHS non-conformities, unsafe working conditions, and work practices to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.

Assess potential health hazards and their impact on employees, prioritizing corrective actions according to risk and severity.

Support the implementation and continuous improvement of EHS policies, procedures, programmes, and initiatives.

Participate in customer site visits and prepare relevant EHS documentation and supporting materials when required.

Diploma or Degree in Chemical Engineering or related Engineering discipline.

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or chemical industry, preferably in a Safety Coordinator or EHS Engineer role.

Possess an Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH).

Valid registration with the MOM as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) is an advantage.

Certification in Management of Hazardous Substances (MHS) is preferred.

Strong knowledge of Singapore workplace safety and environmental legislation, including WSH, SCDF, and NEA requirements, as well as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.

Self-motivated and able to work independently, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
