Job Summary
Serve as a Process Exhaust Engineer, responsible for the technical engineering of Process Exhaust systems for semiconductor Frontend FAB facilities, including system planning, design, equipment selection, construction support, interface coordination, testing and commissioning. Ensure system performance, safety and reliability meet semiconductor process and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Process Exhaust System Design
Plan and design FAB Process Exhaust systems, including airflow, pressure, ductwork, equipment and system layout.
Exhaust Segregation & Treatment
Develop exhaust segregation, collection and treatment systems for Acid, Alkali, Solvent, Toxic, General and other process exhaust streams.
Equipment Selection
Select and specify Exhaust Fans, Scrubbers, Ductwork, Dampers, Abatement Equipment and related components.
Engineering Documentation
Prepare and review PFDs, P&IDs, layouts, data sheets, calculations and Vendor documents.
System Calculations
Perform and verify airflow, pressure drop, duct sizing and system capacity calculations.
Multidisciplinary Interface Coordination
Coordinate Process Exhaust interfaces with Process Tools, HVAC, Gas, Chemical, Drainage, Electrical, I&C and Facilities systems.
Process Tool Coordination
Verify Process Tool exhaust requirements, hook-up points, airflow, pressure and operating conditions.
Construction & Site Support
Manage RFIs, design changes and site technical issues, and verify ductwork, equipment, supports and installation quality.
Testing & Commissioning
Support exhaust system testing, air balancing, commissioning and performance verification.
EHS & Regulatory Compliance
Ensure Process Exhaust and air pollution control systems comply with applicable EHS, environmental, fire safety and Singapore regulatory requirements.
Troubleshooting & Optimization
Troubleshoot airflow, pressure, Scrubber, Exhaust Fan and system performance issues, and support energy efficiency optimization.
System Upgrade
Perform capacity assessments, modifications and system upgrades to support new process tools, FAB expansion and future production requirements.
Requirements
Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, HVAC / Refrigeration Engineering, Energy Engineering or a related discipline.
3+ years of relevant experience in Process Exhaust, HVAC, industrial exhaust, air pollution control or semiconductor FAB projects.
Hands-on experience in exhaust ductwork, airflow systems, Scrubbers, Exhaust Fans, Dampers or Abatement systems is preferred.
Semiconductor FAB or high-tech facility experience is highly advantageous.
Able to perform or understand airflow, pressure drop, duct sizing and system capacity calculations.
Able to read and interpret PFDs, P&IDs, layouts, engineering drawings, isometrics and technical documents.
Familiar with Process Tool exhaust requirements, Hook-up coordination and multidisciplinary engineering interfaces.
Experience in site supervision, contractor coordination, RFI management, installation inspection and resolving site technical issues.
Experience in air balancing, testing, commissioning and performance verification is preferred.
Good understanding of EHS, environmental and air pollution control requirements.
Able to work independently on site and coordinate effectively with Clients, contractors, Vendors and multidisciplinary project teams.
Good command of English; proficiency in Chinese is an advantage.
Willing to work in a site-based environment, including extended hours or shifts as required by the project.
Relevant qualifications and licences must comply with applicable Singapore laws, regulations and authority requirements.

Employment Type: Contract (36 months)
