EHS Intern (Tuas Avenue 2, Jan 2027 Start)

Interns will gain experience in the field of Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S), while being exposed to multiple forms of manufacturing of Becton Dickinson Tuas Plant Singapore. Learn how to apply Environmental and Safety regulations in a real-world manufacturing environment. Interns will have the opportunity to experience day to day operations, working independently and in teams, to promote an Environmentally Healthy and Safe culture.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in the write-up and review of safety documents

Prepare safety presentations for the training of all associates

Run root cause/corrective action exercises that eliminate safety hazards

Further develop existing safety programs such as Confined Space, Hazardous Material, Fall Protection, Lock out/Tag out

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in:

Fire Science

Environmental Science

Industrial Engineering

Manufacturing Engineering

Mechanical Engineering

Industrial Hygiene

Ergonomics

Human Factors

Manufacturing Technology

Physiotherapy

Other related fields

QUALIFICATIONS

Strong data analytical and logical problem-solving skills

Quickly grasps new concepts when faced with unfamiliar tasks

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge in Power BI & Python

Advanced proficiency in Excel

Self-motivated with a can-do attitude and a strong desire to learn

Can work independently with minimal supervision

Builds and maintains constructive relationships

Work Arrangements:

5 days (Mon-Fri) onsite at Tuas Avenue 2

Working Hours: 7.45am- 4.45pm
