Tea Chapter has served Chinese tea from the same Neil Road shophouse since 1989. We welcome tea lovers, tourists, corporate groups, and schools, offering authentic tea experiences and training in tea appreciation and brewing techniques.
Job Summary
Join Tea Chapter as a full-time Tea Host and train to become a Tea Instructor, guiding guests through tea experiences, leading workshops, and supporting daily café operations.
Responsibilities
Welcome guests warmly and guide them through the tea menu, demonstrating brewing techniques at the table
Learn detailed tea knowledge and brewing skills from senior tea masters to enhance guest experiences
Assist and progressively lead tea appreciation workshops for corporate and school groups to educate and engage participants
Prepare light food items and conduct tea retail and stock checks to maintain inventory accuracy
Perform daily café tasks including dishwashing, clearing and resetting tables, cleaning, receiving deliveries, and moving stock to support smooth operations
Communicate effectively in conversational English and Mandarin to interact with diverse guests and team members
Maintain physical stamina to stand and perform tasks throughout shifts, including weekends and public holidays
Preferred competencies and qualifications
Interest in Chinese tea culture to enhance guest engagement
Previous food and beverage experience is advantageous but not mandatory, as training is provided

Location
9 Neil Road, 2 minutes from Maxwell MRT
Working Hours
6-day work week, 44 hours total
Two shifts: 11:00am–5:30pm or 1:30pm–9:00pm
Friday and Saturday late shift extends to 10:30pm
Off days rotate and fall on weekdays; weekends are busiest
Compensation and Benefits
Monthly salary range: $2,600 to $3,300 depending on experience
CPF contributions, annual leave, performance bonus, and staff tea discount
On-the-job tea training from senior tea masters
