Quantity Surveyor (Construction)

The Opportunity:

5 days' work

Project types: Port and terminal construction; land reclaimation; coastal protection

The Job:

Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation.

Support the evaluation of quotations, tenders, and subcontractor proposals.

Prepare quantity take-offs and measurement of works based on drawings and specifications.

Assist in contract administration, variation orders, and claims management.

Track project costs and support monthly cost reporting and forecasting activities.

Monitor subcontractor progress claims and payment certifications.

Maintain project commercial records and documentation.

Liaise with project teams, consultants, contractors, and suppliers on commercial matters.

Support cost control initiatives to ensure projects are delivered within budget.

Assist with final account preparation and project close-out activities.

The Talent:

Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.

Min 3 years of quantity surveying experience will have an advantage.

Basic understanding of construction contracts, costing, and tendering processes.

Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.

Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Meticulous, proactive, and willing to learn in a fast-paced project environment.
