SALES MANAGER

Job Summary

The Sales Manager leads and develops the sales team, collaborating with Operations, Culinary, Finance, and other departments to deliver customer requirements effectively and profitably while driving sales performance and pipeline growth.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the sales team to enhance sales capabilities and product knowledge for improved performance

Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Culinary, Finance, and other departments to meet customer requirements profitably

Monitor overall sales performance against budgets and forecasts to ensure financial targets are met

Track individual sales performance and pipeline development to identify growth opportunities

Conduct regular sales meetings and performance reviews to align team goals and improve outcomes

Provide actionable guidance on prospecting, negotiation, proposal preparation, and customer management to secure new business

Forecast food and beverage needs accurately to support operational planning and budgeting

Apply strong understanding of sales costing, pricing, and margin management to optimize profitability

Utilize restaurant management software and related computer applications effectively to support sales operations

Demonstrate exceptional organizational, leadership, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills to drive sales success

Preferred competencies and qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Sales, Business, Hospitality, F&B Management, or a related discipline

Minimum 5 years of relevant sales or business development experience, preferably within catering, hospitality, F&B, or related industries

Proven track record in achieving sales targets and securing new business

Experience in institutional or corporate catering

In-depth knowledge of the food industry
