Product Manager / Assistant Manager – Insurance

Our client is a leading insurer looking for a commercially minded Product Manager / Assistant Manager with a strong actuarial foundation to join its product team.

This is an opportunity to take ownership across the product lifecycle — from product design and pricing through to implementation, optimisation and ongoing performance management — while working closely with key stakeholders across the business.

The role will involve:

Developing and enhancing insurance products from concept through to launch.

Working closely with Pricing, Underwriting, Distribution and Operations teams to deliver commercially sustainable propositions.

Assessing market and competitor trends to support product positioning and pricing decisions.

Reviewing product performance, profitability and claims experience, identifying opportunities for improvement.

Supporting regulatory submissions and ensuring products remain compliant with relevant requirements.

Turning actuarial analysis into clear commercial recommendations and business decisions.

We’re looking for someone with:

Part-qualified or qualified actuarial credentials, ideally with experience in pricing.

Around 5–10 years of insurance experience, preferably spanning product development and/or pricing.

Strong commercial judgement and analytical capability, with the ability to connect technical actuarial work to business outcomes.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

A proactive mindset and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment.
