Mechanical Engineer - VTAL

Our client is a marine and offshore industry. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting a Mechanical Enginee to be part of their Team for ongoing transformation projects. They are located in the West - easily accessible.

Responsibilities

Conduct market and user research to identify customer needs, industry trends, and product requirements.

Develop design concepts, 3D models, and prototypes using CAD and SolidWorks.

Create detailed mechanical designs, including engineering drawings, models, specifications, and technical documentation.

Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs meet technical, functional, quality, and performance requirements.

Evaluate and select suitable materials, components, and manufacturing processes based on product requirements, cost, and manufacturability.

Support prototype fabrication, assembly, and testing to validate design concepts and product functionality.

Analyse test results, identify design issues, and implement improvements to enhance product performance and reliability.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including industrial designers, electrical engineers, manufacturing teams, and other stakeholders, throughout the product development lifecycle.

Requirements

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related discipline.

Experience in mechanical or product design is bonus

Proficient in CAD software, SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
