Responsibilities
Conduct workplace safety audits across various sites and deliver detailed reports with actionable recommendations to improve safety standards
Provide secretarial support and actively participate in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) committee meetings to facilitate effective communication and compliance
Advise management and teams on risk assessments, regulatory compliance, and WSH best practices to mitigate workplace hazards
Investigate workplace incidents thoroughly and submit comprehensive investigation reports with findings and corrective actions
Respond to emergency safety issues within 2 hours and address non-urgent safety concerns within 2 working days to minimize risks
Perform additional ad-hoc safety audits as required to maintain continuous safety oversight
Maintain and update compliance documentation, including legal registers, to ensure adherence to WSH regulations and standards
Apply knowledge of WSH management systems, specifically SS ISO 45001:2018, to support organizational safety frameworks
Required competencies and certifications
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO)
Registration with Ministry of Manpower (MOM) as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO)
