ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

A leading A1 Main Contractor is seeking an experienced EHS Trainer / WSHO to support major Building and LTA construction projects in Singapore.

The position combines EHS training and competency assessment with hands-on WSH responsibilities on active construction projects. When not conducting training, the successful candidate will work alongside the project safety team supporting day-to-day workplace safety and health activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and maintain the EHS Training Matrix for worksite personnel.

Plan and conduct classroom and practical EHS training programmes.

Assess worker competency through observations, practical assessments and written tests.

Conduct Verification of Competency (VOC) assessments for critical and high-risk trades, including lifting operations.

Deliver training aligned with statutory, company and client-specific safety requirements.

Evaluate training effectiveness and identify competency or training gaps.

Maintain training records, VOC documentation and competency assessment reports.

Work closely with project and safety teams to continuously improve workplace safety performance.

REQUIREMENTS

WSQ Advanced Certificate in Learning & Performance.

Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO).

WSQ Supervise Safe Lifting Operations.

WSQ Assess Confined Space for Safety Entry and Work.

Relevant EHS/WSH training experience within the Singapore construction industry.

Experience across Building and/or LTA projects is suitable.

Strong communication, training delivery and competency-assessment capabilities.

Mandarin-speaking ability will be advantageous.
