Asst Director, Faculty Engagement & Value Propositions

The Assistant Director, Faculty Engagement & Value Propositions, drives philanthropic growth by developing donor-centric funding propositions and enhancing faculty fundraising capabilities to support the University’s giving mission.

Responsibilities

Build strong working relationships with faculty colleagues to develop new funding propositions for Colleges and Schools

Align faculty funding needs with prospective donors’ giving interests to generate new gift opportunities

Facilitate and support conversations on new gift opportunities between University stakeholders and prospective donors

Create compelling proposals and donor-centric collateral to engage and inspire donors

Support Senior Leadership in advancing gift cases through strategic engagement

Provide administrative and operational support to advance gift purposes as needed

Preferred competencies and qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline

Proficient in relationship management, editorial writing, presentation, and product packaging to effectively communicate value propositions

Demonstrated progressive career growth over at least 8 years in business development and/or marketing roles involving senior stakeholder engagement

Ability to translate technical innovations into clear go-to-market messaging

Experience in Higher Education or Business Development is advantageous

Commitment to philanthropy for higher education and motivation to contribute to community building

Team-oriented with a positive, proactive attitude

Demonstrates discretion and handles confidential and sensitive information with tact and maturity
