Job Summary
You will lead safety management efforts by conducting site inspections, organizing training, investigating incidents, and ensuring compliance with WSH regulations to maintain a safe work environment in Oil & Gas and related industries.
Responsibilities
Apply knowledge of WSH Act and other regulatory requirements to ensure workplace safety compliance
Prepare and maintain safety records, equipment, and conduct daily safety toolbox meetings
Conduct regular site inspections to identify and rectify unsafe practices and conditions
Organize and deliver in-house safety training sessions to enhance workforce safety awareness
Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to legal and WSH regulations
Collaborate with SIC manager to monitor compliance and identify safety issues
Supervise safety practices effectively to prevent rework and unsafe occurrences
Investigate incidents, accidents, dangerous occurrences, or non-compliance events at worksites
Identify hazards and prepare risk assessments, method statements, and job hazard analyses aligned with worksite requirements
Develop and implement Safety Action Plans and programs in accordance with Company and Client WSH/HSE manuals
Build and maintain positive working relationships with Client/Owner Safety personnel to address concerns and implement safety programs
Intervene promptly in unsafe activities or operations to prevent accidents
Exercise sound analytical judgment and work independently to resolve safety issues
Perform additional tasks or ad-hoc assignments as required
Use MS Office suite competently to document and report safety activities
Required competencies and certifications
WSQ - Advanced Certificate in WSH (Level B) or Equivalent (Safety Coordinator Training Course)
WSQ - Supervise Workplace Safety and Health in Process Plant or Equivalent (OPSIC)
WSQ - Manage Work at Height (Supervisor)
WSQ - Supervise Work in Confined Space (Supervisor)
BizSafe Level 2: Risk Management
Preferred competencies and qualifications
Minimum Higher Secondary Level with passes in English, Math, and Science or equivalent qualification
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or related industries in a safety role
Good oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated initiative and analytical skills
Proactive and highly motivated individual
Possession of Class 2 (Motorbike) or Class 3 driving license (if available)
Willingness to work in Jurong Area
Other Information
Remuneration will be subject to qualifications, certificates, and relevant work experience
