Quantity Surveyor

About the Role

Right Construction Pte Ltd is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Singapore. This is a full-time position that plays a key role in the successful delivery of our construction projects. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project cost control and commercial management, ensuring the financial success and commercial performance of our developments.

What You'll Be Doing

o Prepare and analyse detailed cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BQ), tender documents, and contract documentation.

o Monitor and control project budgets, costs, and expenditures throughout the project lifecycle.

o Evaluate, negotiate, and administer subcontractor and supplier contracts.

o Provide professional cost and commercial advice to project managers, clients, consultants, and other stakeholders.

o Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.

o Prepare project valuations, progress claims, variation orders (VO), final accounts, and monthly financial reports.

o Review and evaluate subcontractor claims, payment applications, and cost variations.

o Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, company policies, and industry standards.

o Support the successful delivery of complex and high-profile construction projects.

o Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

o Degree, Diploma, or Professional Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

o Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification Quantity Surveying experience in the construction industry.

o Proven track record in managing the commercial and contractual aspects of major construction projects.

o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and contract documents.

o Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

o Proficiency in Quantity Surveying software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.

o Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

o Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
