Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management
Manage the day-to-day financial management, accounting, cash flow management, budgeting and financial analysis of the Singapore entity;
Coordinate annual audits, tax filings and statutory compliance matters in Singapore;
Support the financial management, audit and tax matters of Hong Kong and other overseas affiliated companies;
Work closely with the China headquarters finance team to establish and improve financial management processes for overseas entities;
Support banking, cross-border fund management and financing activities;
Prepare financial and management reports for the Group headquarters.
2. International Trading
Participate in international mineral and commodity trading activities;
Coordinate suppliers, customers, contracts, settlements and financing arrangements;
Conduct cost, profitability and risk analysis for international trading transactions;
Support letters of credit, trade financing, banking facilities and cross-border settlement activities;
Maintain effective communication with banks, customers, suppliers, auditors and other professional service providers.
3. Overseas Mining Investment & M&A
Participate in overseas mining, mineral resources investment and M&A projects;
Support financial due diligence, financial analysis, investment evaluation and financial modelling;
Assist with transaction structuring, financing arrangements and investment return analysis;
Support the financial, tax and operational aspects of overseas resource investment and M&A projects;
Participate in post-investment management of overseas mining projects where required.
4. Cross-border Investment & Group Coordination
Support the Group's overseas investment and Overseas Direct Investment (ODI) activities;
Coordinate business and financial matters between the China headquarters and overseas entities, including Singapore and Hong Kong companies;
Support the development of the Group's overseas business platform and related management systems;
Coordinate cross-border business, financial and operational matters between the headquarters and overseas entities.
5. Overseas Operations & Headquarters Coordination
Coordinate the overall operations of the Singapore entity and other overseas affiliated companies;
Coordinate finance, administration, human resources, banking, audit, tax, legal and other professional service matters;
Act as a key coordination point between the China headquarters and the Singapore platform, ensuring effective communication and implementation of headquarters' requirements and business initiatives;
Coordinate business visits by senior management and business teams from the China headquarters, including business travel, meeting schedules, transportation, corporate hospitality and related logistical arrangements;
Coordinate meetings and business activities between senior management and banks, customers, suppliers, professional advisors and other business partners;
Undertake other overseas operational and corporate management responsibilities as required by the business.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Economics, International Business, Business Administration or a related discipline;
Overseas education or international academic experience is preferred.
Professional Experience
5–10 years of relevant professional experience;
Previous working experience with a China-headquartered company or Chinese enterprise;
Experience in financial management, international trading, overseas investment or the mining industry is preferred;
Experience in overseas mining investment, mining M&A, financial due diligence or natural resources projects is an advantage;
Experience in international trading, mineral trading or cross-border supply chain management is preferred;
Experience in the financial management, audit, tax and operations of Singapore or Hong Kong companies is preferred;
Experience with bank financing, letters of credit, trade finance or cross-border financing is preferred;
Experience with China's Overseas Direct Investment (ODI) procedures is preferred.
Professional Skills
Strong understanding of finance, accounting and financial analysis;
Knowledge of international trading and cross-border business processes;
Understanding of overseas investment and M&A processes;
Ability to independently manage financial, audit, tax and operational matters of overseas entities;
Experience with financial information systems or enterprise management systems, with the ability to adapt quickly to proprietary or customized management systems;
Experience with Baoxin-related systems is an advantage;
Experience in liaising with banks, auditors, tax advisors, legal advisors and other professional service providers is preferred.
Language Skills
Fluent in both Chinese and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages;
Able to conduct business communication and handle business and financial documentation in both Chinese and English.
