Role Overview

Hydra X is looking for an Innovation Lead to identify and implement new technologies and

solutions that strengthen our products, operations and business capabilities.

This is a hands-on role at the intersection of technology, product, AI and business

transformation. The successful candidate will work across teams to identify high-value

opportunities, test ideas quickly, build prototypes and translate successful concepts into

scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritise opportunities to apply emerging technologies, particularly AI and

automation, across Hydra X.

• Lead the development and implementation of AI-enabled solutions, including AI agents,

workflow automation, RAG and related technologies.

• Work with Product, Engineering, Operations, Compliance, Legal and other teams to

identify pain points and redesign workflows.

• Take selected initiatives from problem discovery through prototype, MVP and

implementation.

• Develop business cases, implementation plans and success metrics for innovation

initiatives.

• Work with Product and Engineering teams to transition validated prototypes into

production solutions.

• Establish appropriate controls and evaluation frameworks for the responsible use of AI

within a regulated environment.

• Evaluate relevant technology platforms, vendors and strategic partners.
• Keep abreast of developments in AI, fintech, blockchain and digital capital markets that

may create opportunities for Hydra X.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience across product management, software engineering, technology

or innovation.

• Strong technical foundation and experience working closely with engineering teams.
• Demonstrated experience taking products or technology solutions from 0 to 1.
• Practical experience developing or implementing AI-enabled solutions.
• Strong product judgement, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to prototype and build solutions independently where appropriate.
• Comfortable operating with ambiguity and taking ownership from concept through

execution.

Experience in fintech, financial services, blockchain or digital assets would be advantageous.

The AVP, Innovation will be expected to build a pipeline of high-value opportunities, rapidly test

and implement solutions, and demonstrate measurable improvements in productivity,

operational efficiency, client experience or product capability.

We are looking for a builder who can turn emerging technologies into practical business

outcomes, rather than innovation for innovation’s sake.
