Senior Big Data Product Manager (APAC)

Responsibilities

APAC Market & Industry Insights: Conduct market, industry, competitor, and customer research across the Asia-Pacific region to identify emerging trends, business opportunities, and product requirements for Huawei Cloud's big data products.

APAC Product Strategy & Planning: Translate APAC market insights and customer requirements into product recommendations, feature requirements, and roadmap priorities. Work closely with China HQ product and R&D teams to enhance product competitiveness and ensure products address the diverse needs of APAC markets.

Product Development & APAC Localization: Work closely with product, R&D, data science, operations, marketing, and other cross-functional teams across APAC and China HQ to drive product enhancements, feature implementation, localization, and successful product launches in APAC markets.

Product Optimization & Customer Feedback: Continuously gather customer feedback, market intelligence, and product performance insights from APAC markets to identify improvement opportunities and drive ongoing product optimization and customer experience enhancement.

APAC Customer & Pre-sales Engagement: Engage with customers across the APAC region during pre-sales activities to understand business and technical requirements, deliver product and solution presentations, support technical discussions, and facilitate Proof of Concept (POC) activities.

APAC Business & Project Support: Support Cloud Business teams across APAC, including the Singapore Representative Office, in developing big data business opportunities. Provide product expertise throughout the project lifecycle to facilitate successful project execution and delivery.

Regional Product Enablement: Provide product and technical training to APAC internal teams, partners, and customers, strengthening their understanding of big data technologies and Huawei Cloud's big data products and solutions.

To collaborate and communicate directly with Chinese speaking officers, stakeholders, counterparts, and customers in China HQ team

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent qualifications.

Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in the ICT industry, with exposure to areas such as telecommunications, information technology, cloud computing, big-data technologies or digital platforms.

Demonstrated experience working with both cloud and big-data technologies, with a strong understanding of relevant industry trends, enterprise use cases, technology solutions and the partner/ISV ecosystem.

Proven product management experience, including product strategy, roadmap planning, feature requirement management, product development, product localisation, optimisation or commercialisation.

Strong knowledge of cloud and big-data technologies, architectures, best practices and methodologies, including cloud-native platforms, data lakes, data warehouses, lakehouse architectures, data integration, real-time processing, data governance and AI/data-platform integration.

Experience in enterprise solution architecture and successful customer implementations is preferred. Relevant experience may include requirements analysis, solution design, RFI/RFP and tender responses, technical proposal development, effort estimation, Proof of Concept activities and cross-functional implementation coordination.

Strong market insight, consultative engagement, solution development and business-development capabilities, with the ability to translate customer and market requirements into relevant product recommendations and cloud or big-data solutions.

Ability to balance strategic market and product development with tactical business opportunities, optimise customer and industry coverage, and contribute to sustainable and predictable revenue growth.

Excellent project and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to coordinate product, R&D, sales, delivery and partner teams throughout the product and opportunity lifecycle.

Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cloud, technology, consulting and Independent Software Vendor (ISV) partners to develop joint solutions, expand market opportunities and drive incremental revenue.

Relevant Huawei Cloud, mainstream cloud platform, big data, or TOGAF certifications are an added advantage.

Proficiency in Mandarin is essential to ensure effective communication with the Chinese-speaking stakeholders, including head office, business counterparts, and customers based in China.
