Compliance Officer/ KYC Specialist (Private Banking)

Key Responsibilities

Business & Regulatory Support

Support the establishment, growth, and ongoing development of the private banking business in Singapore.

Ensure business activities comply with applicable MAS regulations, AML/CFT requirements, and internal policies.

Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on private banking products, services, and processes.

Policies & Procedures

Develop and draft private banking AML/CFT, KYC/CDD/EDD, customer risk assessment, and onboarding policies and procedures.

Review and update existing policies and procedures to reflect regulatory changes and business needs.

Support the implementation of compliance frameworks, controls, and governance processes.

Compliance Advisory

Provide compliance advice on private banking products and services across the full product range.

Advise business and control functions on regulatory requirements, risk assessment, and customer onboarding matters.

Support new product initiatives, business projects, and regulatory change programs.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related discipline.

5+ years of experience in private banking compliance, AML/CFT, business management, legal, or product governance within Singapore.

Strong knowledge of MAS regulations, AML/CFT requirements, KYC/CDD/EDD, customer risk assessment, and onboarding processes.

Experience drafting policies, procedures, account opening documents, customer agreements, and system requirements.

Familiarity with private banking products and services, including deposits, FX, financing, insurance and trust referrals, funds, bonds, equities, and structured products.

Strong analytical, drafting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Professional certifications such as CAMS, ICA, or equivalent are preferred.
