Project Director

Responsibilities

Apply technical expertise to develop and implement safe execution methodologies during tender processes

Ensure tenders meet overhead and budgetary targets and comply with contractual requirements

Collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, and value chain partners to align project objectives

Manage commercial aspects to achieve financial targets throughout the project lifecycle

Lead and oversee project teams to deliver milestones on time within allocated resources and contractual terms

Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies to drive project development from start to completion

Develop detailed project implementation programmes and strategic plans for execution

Prepare project briefs, requirements, and technical specifications for procurement of consultancy and construction contracts

Identify and resolve project interface issues by working with all interfacing parties to implement mitigation measures

Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and meet specified quality standards

Independently lead project teams and manage team dynamics by assigning appropriate tasks to members

Required competencies and certifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field

Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in construction

Strong knowledge of civil and structural engineering principles

Familiarity with local authority regulations and submission processes

Preferred competencies and qualifications

Professional certification (e.g., PMP, PE, or equivalent) is an added advantage

Experience managing large-scale construction projects
