Job Summary

Lead end-to-end UX interaction design for overseas retail self-checkout systems, delivering localized, user-centric solutions for supermarkets and convenience stores in Europe and America. Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize user experience and project delivery.

Responsibilities

Lead full-link UX interaction design for retail self-checkout systems, covering boot-up guidance, product scanning, weighing, checkout, discount redemption, payment verification, receipt printing, error prompts, refund, after-sales, and language switching

Independently produce business flowcharts, information architecture, low/high-fidelity prototypes, and interaction specification documents to guide development

Conduct overseas user research to analyze European and American retail design standards and offline consumption scenarios

Optimize interaction workflows based on user operation logic, aesthetic preferences, and scenario pain points to improve usability and localization adaptation

Participate in on-site requirement coordination, solution reviews, and implementation debugging to align design with product, R&D, testing, and overseas business teams

Benchmark UX design cases of mainstream self-checkout devices in Europe and America to inform design improvements

Deliver accessibility and multilingual interaction adaptations compliant with overseas localization requirements to enhance user efficiency and satisfaction

Compile and maintain standardized interaction design specifications and component usage rules to support ongoing product iterations

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design solutions are feasible, reusable, and fit real usage scenarios of overseas terminals

Required competencies and certifications

Minimum 5 years of hands-on UX interaction design experience, preferably with overseas retail, offline self-service terminals, POS checkout, or unmanned retail projects

Proficient in Figma, Axure, and Sketch to independently produce flowcharts, prototypes, and interaction specification documents

Skilled in touch terminal interaction and multi-resolution adaptation design

Clear logical thinking to translate business requirements into implementable design solutions

Familiarity with UX characteristics of European and American retail industries, user operation habits, aesthetic systems, and multilingual interaction adaptation principles

Ability to join short-term on-site assignments and project reviews

Submission of a personal UX portfolio with design cases related to self-service equipment, retail terminals, or overseas products

Preferred competencies and qualifications

End-to-end UX design experience for self-checkout systems in overseas supermarkets and convenience stores

Knowledge of European and American localized interaction standards, accessibility design criteria, and compliance requirements for retail

UX design experience for terminal hardware and IoT devices

Availability to start promptly and support short-term on-site intensive project delivery
