Roles & Responsibilities

Provides comprehensive professional massage therapy and wellness services within a TCM clinical environment, delivering safe, effective, individualized, and client-centred treatments based on identified client needs, treatment objectives, practitioner recommendations, and established clinical service protocols. Performs a range of therapeutic massage techniques with appropriate application of pressure, positioning, and treatment procedures while continuously monitoring client comfort, physical responses, and treatment tolerance. Prepares, sanitizes, and maintains treatment rooms, massage equipment, therapeutic materials, and consumable supplies to ensure a clean, hygienic, safe, and operationally ready environment. Adheres consistently to clinic standards concerning hygiene, sanitation, infection prevention, workplace safety, professional conduct, and client confidentiality. Accurately records treatment details, client observations, service outcomes, and relevant feedback. Provides appropriate pre- and post-treatment support, communicates relevant observations to supervising TCM practitioners, and contributes to service quality, client satisfaction, treatment safety, and efficient clinic operations. Supports improvement of treatment practices through observation, communication, and compliance with clinical procedures.

Specific Responsiblities

• Perform individualized therapeutic massage treatments using appropriate techniques, pressure levels, positioning, and treatment procedures in accordance with client needs, treatment objectives, practitioner recommendations, and established clinic protocols.
• Continuously observe and assess client comfort, physical responses, treatment tolerance, and relevant feedback throughout each session, making appropriate adjustments within the scope of assigned responsibilities.
• Prepare, organize, sanitize, and maintain treatment rooms, massage equipment, therapeutic materials, linens, and consumable supplies to ensure consistent clinical readiness and operational efficiency.
• Apply established hygiene, sanitation, infection-prevention, equipment-handling, and workplace safety procedures to maintain a clean, safe, professional, and compliant treatment environment.
• Deliver professional, respectful, and personalized wellness experiences by adapting service approaches to individual client requirements while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries and service standards.
• Accurately document treatment details, client observations, service outcomes, relevant feedback, and other required information while safeguarding the confidentiality and integrity of client records.
• Provide appropriate pre- and post-treatment assistance, explain practitioner-approved care instructions, and support clients in understanding relevant aftercare requirements and treatment considerations.
• Communicate relevant client observations, treatment responses, concerns, and feedback to supervising TCM practitioners in a timely and structured manner to support coordinated patient care.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of massage and wellness services by observing established treatment practices, maintaining professional competencies, complying with clinical procedures, and supporting consistent standards of treatment quality and client satisfaction.
