What will you do?

The Application Consultant (Assistant Tech Lead) supports the technical delivery of the SHARE project by translating business and user requirements into robust, secure and maintainable web and mobile applications. Working closely with the Tech Lead and Project Manager, the role provides day-to-day technical guidance to the development team, upholds coding standards and security measures, and contributes hands-on to the design, development, integration and maintenance of applications built on  ReactJS, React Native and Node.js.  The role helps drive quality delivery, continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team, ensuring solutions meet client and public-sector compliance expectations.

Collaborate with project managers and business analysts to understand business needs and user requirements, and support requirement analysis.

Support the delivery of specifications, application concepts, interface design and architecture for the SHARE project.

Design, develop and maintain web and mobile application features using ReactJS, React Native and Node.js.

Integrate applications with back-end databases (PostgreSQL, MSSQL) and RESTful APIs / web services.

Provide day-to-day technical guidance to developers, review code, and enforce coding standards, design patterns and best practices.

Support development of program logic for new applications and features and enhance existing applications.

Support and monitor compliance with security measures and public-sector requirements.

Document technical architecture, code changes, issue resolutions and procedures.

Analyze application usage reports and resolve routine and complex problems within applications.

Support deployment activities, hosting environments and releases across cloud platforms (Azure / AWS).

Assist the Tech Lead in effort estimation, task breakdown and coordination of development activities to meet project timelines.

Requirements

What we are looking from you?

Technical Skills

Proven, hands-on proficiency in ReactJS and Node.js.

Strong proficiency in React Native.

Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.

Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services integration.

Proficient knowledge of databases, especially PostgreSQL and MSSQL.

Ability to manage hosting environments and understand deployment methodologies.

Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS (advantageous).

Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git.

Ability to provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.

Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and with diverse stakeholders.

Ability to lead and coordinate a small development team or work stream.

Education and Certifications

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline.

Preferable relevant cloud certification (e.g., Microsoft Azure or AWS).

Preferable certification in Agile / Scrum methodologies.

Compulsory (Must-have)

Proven hands-on development experience with ReactJS and Node.js delivering web and/or mobile applications.

Experience integrating applications with relational databases (PostgreSQL / MSSQL) and RESTful APIs.

Some experience providing technical guidance or leading a small team / work stream.

Desirable (Good-to-have)

Experience with React Native and cloud platforms (Azure / AWS).

Experience in public-sector projects.

Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices
