Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO)

Job Description

Provide advice and consultation to maintain a safe working environment in compliance with environmental safety regulations, standards and practices.

Attend the site safety audit conducted by Authority and Client’s representative- HDB

Conducts job hazard analysis to determine safe working practices and engineering controls.

Implementation of workplace safety, health and environment programs, effective safety management system, preventive measures as well as risk assessment to minimize accidents at the assigned workplace/site

Compile all safety record and reports, and ensure proper documentation of site records for all safety related matters

Enforcement of safety standards in accordance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act

Ensure strict compliance of procedures in statutory workplace, safety, health & environment requirements at sites and required premises

Preparation and/or submission of safety reports and necessary audits

Assist the company in safety related certifications and awareness such as safety audits, meetings, and execution of safety programmes

Perform construction site safety, inspection of site to ensure all facilities and equipment relevant to the maintenance are in proper working condition and do not pose any hazard

Any other ad hoc duties assigned from time to time

Requirements

Candidates must process at least Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering / Building & Construction or its equivalent.

Registered as a Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) for at least 3 years.

Candidates with ECO & ECMO license will have an added advantage.

Experience in 3 - 4years in General Building and Civil Engineering Works, A&A and Upgrading Work in Construction sector

Experienced in ISO related documentation and audits
