Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsibilities

Collaborate with developers, product managers, customer support, and partners to ensure high-quality product delivery.

Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.

Design, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts.

Perform manual and automated testing for backend systems, APIs, databases, and distributed services.

Identify, analyze, track, and report defects, including root cause analysis of failures.

Conduct testing for new features and document test scenarios and expected behaviors.

Advocate QA best practices and improve overall test coverage and product quality.

Perform performance, security, and scalability testing for backend services.

Lead big data QA testing, automation framework setup, data comparison scripts, and release process improvements.

Requirements

Minimum 7 years of QA engineering experience, with strong expertise in backend testing and automation.

Hands-on experience in manual and automated testing across the full testing lifecycle.

Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript, with experience in automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG.

Strong knowledge of APIs, databases, microservices, CI/CD, and SDLC.

Familiarity with QA efficiency tools, AI/LLM, performance testing, and security testing.

Experience with StarRocks, Kafka, and big data QA environments is a plus.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Fluent in English with good communication and collaboration skills.

Experience with Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr, and familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, or Kubernetes preferred.
