Distillates / Fuel Oil Operator

Location: Singapore

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end physical distillates and fuel oil cargo operations, from nominations and scheduling through loading, discharge and close-out.

Coordinate with traders, charterers, counterparties, terminals, shipowners, agents and surveyors to ensure smooth cargo execution.

Monitor vessel movements, cargo schedules and operational risks, resolving delays and issues proactively.

Handle cargo documentation, invoicing, reconciliation, laytime/demurrage and claims.

Support inventory, storage and blending activities where applicable.

Work closely with traders and chartering teams to optimise logistics and commercial outcomes.

Ensure operations comply with HSSE, sanctions, regulatory and internal risk requirements.

Requirements

4–10 years’ experience in physical oil/trading operations, preferably distillates and/or fuel oil.

Hands-on experience in cargo operations, nominations, scheduling and contract execution.

Good knowledge of diesel/gasoil, jet fuel, VLSFO/HSFO or other refined products.

Understanding of shipping, terminals, charterparty terms and laytime/demurrage.

Strong commercial awareness, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
