Responsibilities
Design and maintain real-time vehicle-control frameworks using ROS 2.
Develop interfaces between fleet-level software and industrial vehicle hardware.
Implement control signals across CAN bus, analogue, relay and digital interfaces.
Develop trajectory-control algorithms and local planners for accurate vehicle movement.
Build and maintain embedded firmware for microcontroller-based control boards.
Create diagnostic tools for monitoring system health and investigating faults.
Support onsite calibration, testing, commissioning and performance troubleshooting.
Collaborate across software, electronics, product and deployment teams to improve engineering quality and repeatability.
Requirements
Required: Strong hands-on coding in C++, embedded C and Python for real-time or multithreaded systems.
Required: Practical ROS 2 experience involving controls, motion planning or navigation.
Required: Experience with CAN bus, industrial communication and microcontroller firmware at board level.
Preferred: Previous work on autonomous vehicles or mobile robots, plus familiarity with schematics and PCB-level troubleshooting.
