Science Laboratory Assistant

Responsibilities

Prepare apparatus, biological specimens, chemical reagents, and learning kits according to teachers’ lesson requests to support practical science classes

Maintain and enforce strict safety protocols in laboratories to secure hazardous materials and tools

Conduct regular inventory audits by counting stock and logging data to ensure accurate supply levels

Handle procurement requisitions to replenish laboratory materials as needed

Assist teachers during practical classes by supervising students to ensure compliance with workshop regulations

Perform assigned secondary school administrative support tasks as directed by the Head of Department (HOD)

Use Microsoft Word and Excel to record and manage inventory data accurately

Required competencies and certifications

Minimum GCE 'O' Levels with at least 3 passes

Preferred competencies and qualifications

Prior experience managing laboratories in an MOE school context

Basic knowledge of primary-level Science and Mathematics concepts

Position Type: Full-Time or Regular Part-Time Contract

Working Hours: Mondays to Fridays, 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM (6 hours inclusive of lunch)

Note: Services are not required on weekends and gazetted public holidays
