RESPONSIBILITIES

The Assistant Director of Mental Health Service at Montfort Care supports the Director in managing programme development, financial management, community engagement, quality assurance, staff development, risk management, and policy advocacy to ensure the delivery of high quality care and support for individuals with mental health conditions and their caregivers in the community.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Support

Assist the Director in implementing strategic plans and initiatives that align with the organization's mission and goals.

Program Development

Collaborate with the Director to help enhance existing mental health programs and services based on community needs. Support the management of new projects, such as the Shaw Tower initiative and new premises development.

Evaluation and Reporting

Assist in collecting and analyzing data to evaluate the effectiveness of programs, services, and project implementations.

Oversee internal and external reporting processes and claims procedures.

Budget Planning

Support the Director in developing and managing program budgets, ensuring proper resource allocation, and assisting with monitoring expenditures.

Compliance Support and IT System

Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards to maintain quality in service delivery.

Oversee data collection and storage while collaborating with vendors to enhance the effectiveness of the IT system, such as Social 360.

Collaboration and Networking

Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community organizations, government agencies, healthcare providers, and funding sources.

Participate in advocacy efforts to promote mental health and well-being.

Assist in promoting mental health awareness and the organization's initiatives through community events and public speaking opportunities as needed.

Staff Support

Lead the recruitment and supervision of mental health professionals, acting as a liaison between the Mental Health Team and Human Resources to promote staff development and well-being.

QUALIFICATIONS

A master's degree in social work, public health, public administration, or a related field is preferred.

A bachelor's degree in the same fields may be acceptable with significant relevant experience.

OTHER INFORMATION

Relevant Experience

At least 5-8 years of progressive experience in social services, with a focus on mental health services, including leadership roles in programme management and staff supervision.

Demonstrated experience in managing mental health programmes or services within a social service agency or similar organization.

Strong understanding of mental health policies, regulations, and best practices, as well as familiarity with other pillars of social service, such as family services and child protection.

Proven track record of successful stakeholder engagement, community collaboration, and advocacy on behalf of the individuals with mental health conditions and their caregivers in the community.

Competencies

Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams toward achieving organizational goals.

Strategic thinking and planning abilities, including the capacity to develop and implement effective strategies for eldercare services and broader social service initiatives.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including clients, staff, volunteers, funders, and community partners.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify challenges, develop solutions, and make informed decisions.
