Cybersecurity Senior Engineer

Summary:

Emerson Asia Pacific Systems and Softwareis focused on driving growth of the Cybersecurity Business in the region byproviding cybersecurity solutions for our DeltaV installed base, as well asresponding to the more wholistic and encompassing cybersecurity solutionrequirements from our customers.

The AP Cybersecurity Senior Engineer willwork closely with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) project teams to design andimplement cybersecurity solutions for DeltaV control system clients. This willinclude understanding the overall cybersecurity requirements of the customerand delivering a secured system that meets and/or exceed the client’sexpectations.

While the role is focused on delivery of APproject services, the cybersecurity senior engineer is expected to closelycollaborate and coordinate with the global Cybersecurity teams and stakeholdersin the region to ensure alignment and consistency with existing programs andoverall cybersecurity strategy.

Scope of Work

Carries out complex and varied assignmentsrequiring full knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, principles, and standards;and resolves complex problems using independent judgment. Requires applicationof mature knowledge in planning and conducting work, and coordination ofdifficult and responsible assignments. Scope includes one or more of thefollowing:

·      Accountable for ensuring thesuccessful technical delivery of an assigned cybersecurity study / program /project

·      Independently and successfullyexecute project assignments, providing on-site or remote technical support,diagnosis, consultation, and cybersecurity project implementation for DeltaV customers

·      Troubleshoot and developtechnical solutions related to DCS cybersecurity solutions. This involvesanalysis of security architectures, cybersecurity threats to process controlsystems, software installation, configuration, integration, and applicationissues and inquiries

·      Acts internally and externallyas a cybersecurity technical expert. Provides professional advice, guidance,and training to clients in a wide range of cybersecurity solutions to improvecybersecurity posture. Provides technical & administrative leadership tothe project team for cybersecurity deliverables

Major duties/functions:

·      Installation and configurationof network switches and firewalls

·      Installation and implementationof Trellix Endpoint Solutions (Endpoint Security and ApplicationWhitelisting), Backup & Recovery and Integrated Patch Management

·      Installation and implementationof SIEM, NSM / TMS for DeltaV systems

·      Provide expert consultation formatters relating to cybersecurity, policies & procedures, network designs,system architecture

·      Provide integration designconsultation on Emerson products

·      Provide consultation onOperating System administration from a workgroup and domain perspective

·      Complete interrogation ofoperating system data, Ethernet switch configuration, network firewallconfiguration for security audit

Minimum Qualifications:

·      Education and RelatedExperience: Bachelor / Master’s in Engineering, Computer Science or InformationSystems / Management

·      Minimum 5 years of cybersecurityexperience in the automation industry

·      Must possess excellent oral andwritten English communication skills and the ability to communicate in bothtechnical and business terms

Required Skills/Experience

·      Strong understanding ofcybersecurity requirements in both IT and OT

·      Cybersecurity certificationsIEC62443, GICSP, GIAC, CISSP or equivalent

·      Virtualization Platforms: Hyper-V, VMware, VMware ESXi

·      Can understand Emerson ControlSystem Products & Services, help customers adopt Emerson cybersecurity solutionsand deliver them

·      Critical thinker, self-directedwith proven ability to collaborate and influence change.

·      Strong initiative and abilityto work in a self-directed environment.

·      Ability to simultaneouslyhandle multiple projects, adjust to changing priorities while multitaskingeffectively
